Town Hall & Public Library

ODA-USA is a public charity that sponsors charitable projects in the United States, West Africa and elsewhere. Annually during its convention, ODA-USA engages in charitable projects in the City and State hosting its annual convention. Every three years, ODA-USA sponsors free health fair in Nigeria, West Africa to help eradicate premature deaths. ODA-USA donates to other reputable public charities.

High cost of quality healthcare services, inaccessibility of well-equipped hospitals and diagnostic centers, high cost of unadulterated medications, and predominance of low income level with no health insurance coverages are some of the problems confronting residents of Obosi in Nigeria, West Africa.

Prevalence of malaria, typhoid fever, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, eye diseases and a range of other diseases make life difficult and short-lived for the local residents.

To bridge the gap, ODA-USA sponsors medical missions in Obosi Town every three years in order to bring quality healthcare to the doorsteps of the local residents who otherwise may not have had access or afford to pay for such care.

The medical missions target particularly the elderly who are 80 years old and above, and the general population.

Over the years, institutions of learning have not kept up in renovating the physical structures such as classroom blocks, and with technological advancement necessary for well-rounded learning.

ODA-USA embarks on renovation of classroom buildings, and construction of new ultra-modern classroom buildings to facilitate learning.

Also donation of computers to schools to assist the students’ learning and prepare them for the job market. Efforts are made to ensure that 100% of the funds raised for these purposes are spent on the projects, with zero going towards administrative costs.
